So almost a full week for Sam at camp. I guess no news is good news in this case. I have been stalking the mail hoping for a letter from him. I think this Mom nailed the reality of a camp letter you think you are getting and the reality of what you will receive! I am on pins and needles waiting to see what I get!

So we have been slowly but surely working on our house. Sam has been my motivation to get moving on some of the projects I have been putting off for years. I was able to get all of our new appliances in. Sam is going to be so excited to see them! I am kind of glad we were not able to get them in before he left so he has something fun to come home too! It looks amazing….I mean….amazing….
Butter-Bean has been a bit lost without him. Good news is that she is exploring the house as well. She also has some good friends to keep her company! I will share Butter’s story in an upcoming blog. She is a force…
Work this week has been mind blowing. Good things come to those who wait right?! Well this last week makes me feel like my wait is up! Style Gather…my sleepy little women’s fashion company…is being featured in a partnership with OpenSky and Sears. This starts Monday and I am crossing my fingers that this will be a game changer! Also Amazon wants to pick up Leap of Faith Clothing as a vendor. Pretty good when Amazon reaches out to you to put your products on their site!
See press release here.
I was honored to be a Young Careerist Candidate at the State BPW (bpw-nc.org) convention earlier today. I had to give a speech. I have been walking around the neighborhood practicing the speech. Insert crazy pug lady talking to herself joke here! It went well and this is a great group of strong women.
I also found out that I will be attending the National Retail Federation 2014 Retail Advocates Summit. Here I will be sharing my company story with our Congressman and women. I am SOOOO EXCITED and honored to be chosen for this trip. I feel like it is a game changer when it comes to networking. Lets be honest…I probably have been watching to many episodes of House of Cards. My prep strategy will need to be adjusted!
So week one was not quiet by any means! I am missing Sam like crazy but excited that I am filling the time with productivity. Thanks for all the support on the last blog post…I am humbled to know that everyone likes hearing from me and I am not boring you all! More to come….
