I am excited beyond words to be traveling this week! My strikingly funny sister and her hilarious boyfriend moved to London last August. At the time of their move they were expected to return at the end of February. So my parents and I started planning to make a trip over to the Londontown! I think my Dad has reminded me at least 5 times to bring my passport! In his defense it would not be the first time I had forgotten it! But lesson learned and my fancy Coach cover makes it easier to remember! Label snob much!
If you own a business you know what it feels like to try and plan to leave! Is there ever a good time to take a break? The good news is that in retail, there is the weird month we call January. So naturally I thought…after the holiday rush…sales slow and everyone hibernates in January! Lets go!
So we fly out Tuesday night and arrive Wednesday morning and I could not be more excited to see Brett and Greg! I think that we have picked the coldest weather ever to travel in, but I am packed and ready to go! In my past life, traveling was an everyday thought, discussion, plan. I have been fortunate to travel to places I never thought I would see. To continue that quest to see the world…we are going to break our visit up, get another stamp and head to Berlin, Germany for a few nights. Looks like we can ride a Ferris wheel in either city!
My grandmother is 100% German, so therefore I am 25% German! I am excited to see the country and culture that I am a result of. I can only imagine the inspiration and energy I am going to get from this trip. That is the thing about owning your own company…you never do get to take a break! So while I may be across the pond for a week…my Ferris wheel of a creative brain will still be turning! Creativity is like a working sponge always soaking it up! Can you imaging all the little British and German kids in CAPEtees?? Check back next week for recap of the trip!
