Day 16: Dream house
Someone asked me recently what was my dream car…I had to answer honestly and say that I had it! Love my new car! But this is definitely not the case with my house! Haha! There are so many things that I do love about Murrayhill, but of course a ton of things I would change to make it more comfortable! Walk in closet, real laundry room, garage etc! I do think that I am fortunate enough to have a mother who is an amazing designer! So her houses are always dream houses! I think that my Dad and her have lived in 6 houses over their marriage. I have lived in 3 of these houses! We did not move much when I was a child but things were always changing in the houses! This does not include the Lake house which would be by all my definitions my dream house! They purchased a 30 year old shack on the lake in 1991 and in 2001 tore it down to build the house that exists now! It is one of the most sereine places I have ever been. This is the only place that I do not mind GeeGee punching me in the face to get up in the morning! I think she is as excited as me to head outside to see the beautiful view of the water, sun and calm before the storm of friends, boats and laughter! Here is pic of the view that I love so much!
Day 17: Something you’re looking forward to
I think that I could write about something I am looking forward to every week! I guess one of the things that I have been most looking forward to was my sister’s move to Charlotte. It seems surreal but she is here now! We had a birthday party for her this weekend and it was really nice to be able to celebrate with her here in Charlotte with all of our friends. She and Greg are going to sign a lease on a new house this week and I am so excited for Brett to finally have a space that she can nest in and most importantly that has a dishwasher!! I am looking forward to spending more time with her!
